GOJI BERRIES
- ORIGIN
- Goji berries come from the Lycium plant. The berries grow to about the size of a grape, are shaken onto mats and dried in the shade. They are never touched by hand before they are dried (as they will oxidise and turn black if this happens). The berries are grown predominantly in northwest China and Tibet in some of the purest soils on earth.
- NUTRITION
- Goji berries are, perhaps, the most nutrient rich fruit in existence. Hailed by some as the most nutritious, antioxidant rich super food known to man, these small, vibrant, deep red berries are said to have anti–ageing and anti–cancer properties.
- The berries contain 500 times the amount of Vitamin C, by weight, found in oranges. They are packed with B Vitamins and Vitamin E and they contain iron and anti–inflamatory properties. Anti–bacterial and anti–fungal properties are amongst their other benefits.
