- Cultivated since antiquity, walnuts are now grown intensively in south west France, northern Italy and California, among other areas.
- Walnuts are supremely versatile and, whilst they are delicious eaten as they are, their culinary uses are many and varied.
- NUTRITION
- Although walnuts are high in fat they are a first class source of essential Omega oils, containing significant amounts of Omega 3 and Omega 6 (the two groups of essential fatty acids, known as ‘good fats’ – vital for good health)
- The benefits of Omega oils are many and include promoting joint health, easing inflammatory conditions, stimulating brain and memory and cell maintenance (wound healing)
